Using CELEMI Decision Base™ as a strategy and leadership practice ground
The company integrated CELEMI Decision Base™ into its leadership development program.
CELEMI Decision Base™ places participants in management teams running capital-intensive manufacturing companies in a competitive marketplace. Teams must analyze market information, set a strategy, make investment decisions, manage production, win customers, secure financing, and adapt as market conditions change.
This made it highly relevant for future manager development. Participants were not only discussing strategy. They were practicing how to make decisions, align as a team, manage trade-offs, respond to competitors, and connect operational choices to financial results.
The simulation also gives each participant a role, such as finance, marketing and sales, purchasing and production, or corporate intelligence. This creates a balance between individual accountability and shared team responsibility. It also opens practical conversations about collaboration, decision-making, execution, and leadership under changing conditions.
The program included structured reflection. Participants reflected on their own performance, their team’s performance, and how they contributed within the group. This turned the simulation into more than a strategy and business finance exercise. It became a practical environment for leadership development.
