CELEMI Sustainability™ is delivered as a facilitated, team-based experience, either face-to-face or virtually via the Celemi Learning Space™. Sessions typically run 4–7 hours. Participants work in teams of 2–4, with standard group sizes of 12–30 per facilitator. The simulation also scales well for larger, multi-team sessions with several hundred participants.
The simulation shows how sustainability-related choices impact an organization’s ability to withstand shocks, adapt to change, and remain competitive. Participants experience how factors such as resource efficiency, supply-chain robustness, employee engagement, reputation, and regulatory readiness contribute to overall business resilience.
Sustainability is presented as a driver of resilience, not a separate agenda.
CELEMI Sustainability™ develops business acumen for situations where cause and effect are not immediately visible. Participants learn to evaluate dilemmas and make informed trade-offs between short-term business performance and decisions that build long-term sustainability and resilience.
The simulation strengthens participants’ ability to understand how non-financial decisions influence financial results over time and to make coherent choices in a more disruptive and interconnected business environment. This includes navigating shifting customer expectations, investor priorities, regulatory frameworks, geopolitical tensions, and the broader impact of decisions on employees and communities.
CELEMI Sustainability™ is designed for leaders and teams who want to turn the growing demand for sustainability into business opportunities, while strengthening their organization’s resilience and performance.
Typical participants include managers and cross-functional teams across operations, supply chain, finance, HR, sustainability, strategy, and commercial roles who influence decisions with both short- and long-term impact.
The simulation is especially relevant for organizations that need to balance near-term business performance with sustainability ambitions, regulatory expectations, and evolving stakeholder demands, and that want to do so through better-informed, coordinated decision-making across the organization.
CELEMI Sustainability™ is a facilitated business simulation that builds business acumen by challenging participants to balance short-term business performance with the need to make decisions that build long-term sustainability and resilience.
In the simulation, teams lead a company through a major transformation, making it more sustainable and resilient while still delivering results in the near term. With a limited budget, they must prioritize and sequence change initiatives that affect people, planet, and profit across the entire value chain. Their decisions shape the company’s business model, including its move toward circularity, its ability to navigate ESG legislation, and its capacity to remain profitable and engaging for employees.
The focus is on developing practical judgment by connecting operational, human, and environmental factors to real business outcomes, rather than on theoretical sustainability concepts.
