This holiday season, we’re supporting Plan International, an organization working to provide the most important gift to girls everywhere – an education.

At Celemi, we believe in the Power of Learning, and this holiday season we would like to shine a light on Plan International Sweden, part of a global organization advancing children’s rights and equality for girls in 75 countries.

They work to remove the obstacles that stand in the way of a child’s education as they contribute to safe and secure schools, educate teachers, and change the perception of gender so that schools are accessible to everyone.

“The knowledge of an educated girl can never be taken away.,” says Mariann Eriksson, secretary-general of Plan International Sweden. “When girls are allowed to go to school, poverty decreases and gender equality increases.”

Every child has the right to access safe, quality education.

However, 124 million children across the world are out of school and 250 million are not learning basic skills as a result of poor quality education.

Girls, children with disabilities, those from minority groups and children living in poor and remote areas are most often denied access to education. This has far-reaching consequences on their futures and those of their families, communities and countries.

We promote free, equal access to quality education for all children – from early learning to secondary education. We work with children, their families, communities, wider society and governments, and advocate at both local and international levels, so that all children are able to get an education. – Plan International

We’re happy to support a strong advocate for access to education for all.

On behalf of all of us at Celemi, we wish you and our partners, clients, and participants in learning a very happy holiday. May the year ahead of you be filled with many joys and discoveries!
