Siksha Consulting, with headquarters in Bangalore, India, is a knowledge organization. We talked to Padmaja Vaswani, CEO and co-founder, when she and her partner Jitendra Vaswani attended the Celemi Global Partner meeting in Malmö 2013.
“Siksha means learning and education in Sanskrit”, says Padmaja Vaswani. “We provide training and consulting solutions for human capital development. Our aim is to always help our clients achieve and maintain a competitive advantage.”
Siksha Consulting has been in the learning industry for over eleven years. More than fifty employees and over forty network consultants deliver learning solutions across a breadth of industries all over the country – working from Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore,Trivandrum, Cochin, Hyderabad, Kolkata, National Capital Region, Mumbai and Pune.
Siksha has over 300 customers and is rapidly growing.
“We offer innovative, customized learning solutions in the areas of sales, customer service, leadership, innovation and corporate essentials”, says Padmaja Vaswani. “All of our solutions are aligned to meet organization, business and performance goals.”
The target audience that Siksha is concentrated on helping has been exposed to many traditional training methods:
We can’t expose them to ‘Death by PowerPoint’ or other traditional forms of teaching”, says Padmaja Vaswani, with a smile.
Padmaja Vaswani means that people have to participate in interactive sessions that are intellectually stimulating, since they have so much to share and learn from one another. This is one of the reasons why Siksha Consulting, since two years, has integrated Celemi business simulations into their learning solutions. Usually, Celemi’s unique business simulations are used as a launch pad of a learning series, aimed at helping the audience see their role in the big picture.
“Celemi business simulations help our audience to reflect and rethink their way of working in the given environment (“cultural innovation”), rework or implement new strategies (“strategic reengineering”)”; says Padmaja Vaswani. “Other situations when a business simulation can be of great interest are when companies are moving from being local to becoming global; helping the teams align to the big picture & vision, in case of mergers.”
Another reason Siksha Consulting recommends Celemi business simulations is that the programs are so dynamic; they thoroughly engage people and make people start collaborating.
“Both leaders and managers learn to consider how they want to take their business to the next level of success. It is all about erasing the past, and re-creating a present and a future”, Padmaja Vaswani concludes.
As Jack Welch put it; “An organizations ability to learn, and translate that learning into action rapidly, is the ultimate competitive advantage”.
Siksha’s scope of work ranges from transformational to transactional areas of human capital development that helps organization’s deliver better business results and maintain competitive advantage.
